Assistant Professor Erica Crespi awarded two major research grants
Dr. Erica Crespi was recently awarded two major research grants: from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a project titled, "Investigating the Role of Leptin in Larval Growth and Limb Development in Xenopus"; and from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a project entitled, "Nutrition and Life History Transitions," which investigates the interactions between leptin, a hormone that regulates energy balance, and the neuroendocrine stress axis during tadpole metamorphosis.
